Hardest Job To Get: 1 is the first post I’ll write on this Topic. Hardest Job To Get To Get is of course a euphemism for the Best Jobs.
I and many of my peers are in year 3 of courses which centre around computing and technology. This is an exciting time for the digital industries.
We are now ranking the jobs we are being pointed towards, albeit subconsciously. Next Spring we will either looking for a Job or making choices for year four. Either way it is time to look critically at the fast evolving Jobs Market.
When I consider what it is I really want from a Job I’m hoping for the right balance between routine and responsibility. This would allow me an opportunity to develop a role around my strengths in any organisation.
Now that I know what I’m looking for in a role I begin to look at proscpective Jobs and Industries. This also involves looking at how I might gain access to these Roles.
Job 1 :Computer And Information Research Scientists.
As the word Research Infers a phd will be required for these Roles. Ok, I’m aiming a little high. I however am interested process by which Data becomes Information.
Job 2: Data Analyst
A search under this heading reveals a number of available positions, this is positive.
It doesn’t list educational requirements but involves data collection and data analysis.
This would probably have roles on different levels. I would probably apply for positions in this area with a view to getting into the workplace at the earliest opportunity.
Job 3: Computer Science Jobs
This search reveals a number of positions in systems validation. It also revealed a number of Jobs which require a computer science degree with Oracle SQL getting regular mention.
This is a preliminary look at the jobs market for me. The writing of this post has precipitated this.
I’ve numbered this post as I feel this could become a regular feature on my blog.
I will limit my posts to between 300 and 400 words for ease of reading. This will also help to keep them pointed.
A a young lad going through school I never really had a career of choice. This is because like many others I didn’t really know what I wanted to do. As a Mature student I now find myself matching my attributes to various roles.
I look forward to this process. It will be interesting to see what results this sort of critical appraisal yields.
